Eco Center – Promoter of the “Fruit Business” – 10th Edition

The “Fruit Business” conference, 10th edition, is becoming an increasingly significant event for fruit growers, serving as a key platform for promoting innovation and developing the agricultural sector.

This year, the event brings together fruit growers, importers, and exporters, as well as renowned experts from the country and abroad, strengthening Moldova's position in the international fruit market.

The conference agenda features valuable presentations focusing on key topics such as the latest industry trends, strategies to boost the competitiveness of Moldovan fruits, the introduction of new varieties, advanced technologies for orchard pest control, and practical solutions for sustainable agriculture.

Interactive sessions are also planned, allowing participants to discuss current challenges and identify opportunities for collaboration.

The first day of the conference was marked by the presence of Prime Minister Dorin Recean and Agriculture Minister Ludmila Catlabuga, who emphasized the importance of agriculture in Moldova's economy.

In their speeches, the officials highlighted the critical role of innovations and the implementation of best practices in developing a competitive and sustainable agricultural sector. They also addressed government initiatives aimed at supporting orchardists and facilitating access to international markets.

The second day of the conference includes presentations by agricultural experts, among them Ion Burlea, an agronomy consultant at Eco Center. His topic, “Innovative Ecological Solutions for Pest Control in Orchards,” is particularly relevant in the context of adopting environmentally friendly and economically efficient methods.

Eco Center participates in the event by offering attendees the opportunity to explore Moldova's experience with pheromone-based products. These innovative solutions, applied in fruit farming, support reducing pesticide use and promoting sustainable agriculture.
