Pests of grape vines!
Wine is one of the prides of our country, that became Moldovan cultural heritage. For millenniums, Moldova’s lands have been rich in vineyards, that were and still are cared for through hard work and dedication. Every year, local farmers and manufacturers handle thousands of hectares of vineyards to serve the grapes and wine to locals, tourists, but also to export Moldovan vineyard products worldwide. Every bottle of wine is made from the best grapes, and that’s why it’s important to protect it and prevent any harmful factors.
The most unpredictable factor are pests, the solution for it are pheromone traps, manufactured by Eco Center. They can be used regardless of the works that are carried out in the vineyards, throughout the whole flight season of pest insects, since the traps are harmless and only affect the target pest.
European grapevine moth (Lobesia botrana), in addition to the grapevines, also attacks the apple, currant, plum, nectarine, etc. And to prevent crop damage, it is enough to use the Delta Paper set for Lobesia botrana, for monitoring purposes. The set includes Delta Paper trap (made out of biodegradable cardboard), wire hangers and Lobesia botrana lure.
The grapevine moth (Eupoecilia ambiguella) attacks the grapes and this in turn affects the quality of the wine, causing the development of gray or black mold. This is due to the bites and stings of the grape skin, that facilitate the development of microorganisms in the bunches. The simple and effective trap with a pheromone dispenser, can prevents this risk by timely detecting the infestation.
We support local manufacturers and we strive to protect our wine making traditions.
