How to use
- Remove the trap from its packaging;
- Peel off the protective film from the trap;
- Fold along creases to create a triangular shape, similar to a tent;
- Place the trap in the wardrobe or on shelves;
- Replace the trap once it’s full. Store the un-opened traps in a cool, dry, inaccessible for children and pets place.
Working Conditions
Inspect:
Check all clothes, that are stored in the wardrobe for signs of infestation. Check the bottoms of chairs, rugs, corners of wardrobe, vacuum your entire house.
Look for:
- Moths and larvae inside and outside your clothing;
- Excessive shedding from furs;
- Small accumulations of crusts on fabrics, carpets and clothing;
- In some cases, tiny tubes clinging to fabrics.
Dispose:
- Remove all clothes from the wardrobe and examine them carefully.
- If it’s possible, wash all your clothes or take them to dry cleaning;
- Expose your clothes to the sunlight. Sun rays and high temperatures will effectively kill all adult larvae and moths.
- Store the clothes, that you don’t wear (after washing/dry cleaning) in vacuum bags, hence effectively preventing damage from larvae.
Clean, Trap, Prevent:
- Vacuum wardrobe surfaces, carpets, furniture.
- Clean the infected areas, paying special attention to any cracks and fissures where the pest's eggs or larvae could hide;
- Install Pure Suit traps to make sure you catch all remaining adult pests;
- Prevent moths by checking your clothes from time to time for pest infestation, if possible, use a Pure Suit trap to ensure they are detected in a timely manner.
Suitable Items
Tineola bisselliella lures
Tineola bisselliella lure is a component of an insect trapping device, that uses pheromones to lure clothes moth into a trap.
The lure, in the form of the rubber dispenser, that contains female pheromone of clothes moth, must be placed in a Delta Plastic Trap to be fully functional (traps can be bought separately or in kits with lures).
Using such pheromone lures is an economic, environmentally sound approach to either monitor or trap these pests.
The lures in the traps must be replaced every 4-6 weeks to keep attraction rates high.
Shelf life - up to 2 years (optimum conditions).
